New Products that I tried and fell in love with!

Hello everyone! I hope you all are doing well and are safe. I am so thankful to all of you who read and support my blog. It means a lot to me and don't forget to follow me on twitter where I am active and post often about skincare, makeup and other random things. Now onto the post we go~

Before starting with the post, this is a disclaimer that I am not a dermatologist or a skincare expert and I have never claimed to be one. These posts are meant purely for review and educational purposes of the products available in the market and I do not review any prescription based products here. With that being said, let us start with the post.

Now, even though, I did not buy a lot of new skincare products, I did get a few which caught my eye for certain ingredients and this will be a short review of those products and my thoughts on them and whether these products are worth the investment or not.

The very first product that I would like to talk about is the SNP Preptaronic Hydrating Toner

I got this toner on 28th September, 2021 from Amazon. The main reason I purchased this product was because along with Hyaluronic Acid it contains 6 types of peptide complex. It retails for Rs. 675/- and it is a 320ml plastic bottle and let me tell you this product lasts for a LONG TIME. It has a dried rose fragrance and is a very light weight watery consistency and the product looks very beautiful (I mean just look at the picture). The only downside to me was that I received the bottle with a broken cap.

Due to this when I carried this when I travelled to my hometown, the product spilled a little which was not fun :( But I should say even after the spilling, I have only finished half of the product till now.

You can find this product on Amazon, Nykaa and Limese. Now talking about the way this product performs-

As a Hyaluronic serum lover, I should say that is much better than any serums as this has a lot of good ingredients and once I apply it on after cleansing on damp skin, it sinks in without any trouble. I use a coin size amount for my face and neck and it spreads very well and it takes about 2-3 minutes for the toner to sink in well and after that I follow my everyday routine. According to me, if you are like me who appreciates HA and want something which will last for a long time then this is for you. This product gives your skin a nice hydrated feel and also gives you a nice dewy look. So if you want a nice dewy makeup, this will be a good product in your base routine.

Review- Will Repurchase.

The next product I want to talk about is Sebamed SPF 30 Lip Defense Stick. I purchased this on the 30th of August 2021 and I use it religiously everyday during the day. It retails for Rs. 427/- on Amazon and I purchased it for Rs. 369/-. This product is very often on discount so grab it when you find it at a good price.

This is a stick base lip balm and you get a good amount of product. I have been using it since August and I have finished only about half of it. It has a very creamy texture and glides very well on your lips. It moisturizes your lips well and even when your lips are cracked, it makes your lip feel moisturized and the cherry on top is that this lip balm comes with an spf of 30. It is an excellent day time lip balm and it will last you for a long time and THE BEST PART is that even when you wear it below a mask, it does not budges. If you are looking for a good lip balm grab this!

Review- Will Repurchase!

Next and the last skincare product I want to talk about is a relatively new launch. It is the Minimalist 0.3% Ceramide Moistutizing Gel Cream For Barrier Repair. I purchased this on 12th January, 2022 and have been using quiet frequently.

This product is a ceramide based moisturizer which is meant for oily skin and it is a gel based cream. First thought about this product is that it is a little pricey for a moisturizer it is still a decently priced ceramide cream as most barrier based creams are very expensive. This cream retails for Rs. 569/- for 30gm. It is a very light weight gel based cream which sinks into my skin on application. I use this product on days when I use exfoliators, chemical peels and retinols and on days when I feel like my skin is irritated. If you are a beginner, you do not need this product in your routine. While I love how this product feels on my skin, I feel this product is rather very expensive and I think people who are having a damaged skin barrier will highly benefit from this product.

Review- Will purchase when my skin barrier is messed up but I don't need it regularly. Overall, a good skin barrier repair cream in a market.

Body Care

I just want to talk about this one product which I cannot stop raving about on twitter which is the the Plum BodyLovin' Vanilla Vibes Body Oil

You can see from the pictures that this is a well used product. I purchased this from Nykaa on the 04th of November, 2020. It retails for Rs. 550/- but I got it for Rs. 440/- during the Diwali sale. This product as the name suggests is a body oil which helps your skin feel moisturized. I like to apply this after applying my body lotion and this body oil will make you feel like a vanilla cupcake. This oil is very light weight and on applying your body feels nicely moisturized and honestly, I will repurchase this again and again just to smell like a vanilla bakery. This body oil really helped me during this winter because this time it was a little too cold in Mumbai and I had to apply a thick moisturizer and then this oil and that is how my skin survived the dry winter,
Review- Will Repurchase!

Now, the last product I want to talk about is our good old vaseline petroleum jelly. While everyone is out there talking about how expensive lip masks are helping their lips but it is expensive to keep buying again and again, I think many of us are forgetting how vaseline in not even a quarter of the price does the job for you. I got vaseline from the local medical store and its been about a year and I still haven't finished it. It is very price efficient and it is not only a good lip balm but if you are a dry skin person, this is also an excellent occlusive. If you want to learn more about occlusive you can read this post and on layering it here.
Review- WILL REPURCHASE!

That is it guys :) I hope this post was helpful. This was just a list of products which I have been loving recently. Let me know what you guys think of this post and let me know if you want such product reviews and let me know if you want any post on makeup :)

Bye~
