A DIY hairoil which you need to try RIGHT NOW!

Hello everyone. I am back with another post but I decided to take a break from skincare 101s and while I was thinking about what to write about I realized that a post about the DIY oil I made could be helpful as most of us are going through hair loss and other issues.

I am sure all the desi kids grew up with our elders lecturing us about how we should oil our hair daily but never told us why we should do it. For me, my mother oiled my hair every evening during my school days but as I grew up and started going to college the oiling of my hair reduced and it got to the point where it was only 2 days a week. Overtime my hair started falling more and started getting very lack luster and was damaged a lot. It is also something as Indians we are never taught how to care for our hair. Don't get me wrong but we have so many hair textures and types in our country but most of us don't know how which products to use and how to protect our hair. Phew now let me stop the rant and let's go onto the DIY hair oil itself.

Before the making of the oil I would like to give a overview of my hair type and why I decided to make this DIY oil. My hair type is semi wavy/curly and it's extremely frizzy and I was experiencing extreme hair loss and dry and flaky scalp.

Caution: I am not a professional dermatologist and this post is not meant to cure any condition. In case you have any skin problem then please visit a dermatologist or a specialist who are experienced to treat the condition.

For the DIY oil you need:

  1. Jamaican Black Castor Oil.
  2. Coconut oil. (I used the Parachute coconut oil)
  3. Vitamin E capsule. (you can get this at a local medical store)
Optional:
  1. Root applicator oil bottle (Available on Amazon)

How to make the DIY oil:
In whichever container you decide to store the oil in you need to do the measurements according to it. You need to first take 1\4th quantity of Jamaican Castor oil as the base of the oil. Do not overdo the quantity of the Jamaican castor oil as it tends to be sticky and a bit thick. Add 1\2th quantity of coconut oil on top of the base. Coconut oil is a bit light weight and is amazing for your scalp and the health of your hair. The last step of this DIY is add 3-4 Vitamin E vitamin E capsule oil in this mixture.

How I use this oil?
I love applying this oil a day before I wash my hair. I use the root applicator bottle and apply the oil only on my scalp and massage my entire scalp for a few minutes and plait my hair as it keeps my hair tangle free and manageable.
After using this oil for a few months I have noticed that my hairfall has reduced a lot and my scalp seems less dry.

I hope you guys liked this post and do comment if you will try this oil and what you would want me to write in future about ❤
